I have a little problem here.....

As you can see from the picture below, I've got a little problem on my hands! Aron is over 4 months old and still will NOT go to sleep (& stay asleep) unless he is swaddled! How much longer will the insanity continue?! Seriously child, you are over 20 pounds! They don't make swaddle blankets bigger than this! What am I supposed to do? If he wasn't so darn cute, I'd just make him cry it out, but I'm such a sucker and I just keep swaddling him. I am just hoping he will grow out of it (both mentally and physically!)

Oh my gosh he is so cute! I showed Tim this picture and he said it looked like Vito. My girls liked to be swaddled too and the only way I could break it was at about 4 1/2 months I broke the cardnial rule and they became tummy sleepers. It was the only way they could fall asleep! I always made sure they had good head and neck control first but what to do????

What an ADORABLE picture! It brought a big smile to my face and I think Tim is right...I see Vito in him too! I forgot that was your dads name. What a cool name. Vito Demonte!

Hello,

I found your site while looking for Hatchlings. While quickly scrolling to find your nest, this picture really caught my eye :)

Just a note of encouragement regarding the swaddle...

I just wanted to say not to worry if your baby likes his swaddle. It is actually a good thing!

If you do want to see if he is mature enough to sleep soundly with out it, try having just one arm out and see how he does.... then another arm and so forth. A LOT of babies at this age just are not ready to sleep w/out being swaddled, it is just how they are developing.

Thanks for the very cute picture! You should send it to Dr. Harvey Karp, Pediatrician/author of Happiest Baby on The Block. He would love to see it!

Kindly,
